Sewing to Help Health Care Workers
On March 23, My Mom and I started the Sew Awesome Community with the idea that maybe we could rally a few other sewists to help make some masks for health care workers.
We were so excited when we launched our idea and had 17 volunteers, and we were on track to make 200 masks and 30 caps.
At the end of 8 weeks of work, we delivered a total of 1870 masks, 948 caps and have had the privilege of meeting 70 amazing women who volunteered their sewing skills and time.
